  ఆరు చింతమాన్ల గుట్ట పైన ఉన్న తెల్ల దొరల గుడారాల దగ్గరకు రమ్మని క్షురమర్దికి కబురు అందింది. వాళ్లుండే డేరాల వైపుకు వెళ్లాలంటే ఒక గుండె ఉంటే సరిపోదు. ఆ విషయం క్షురమర్దికి కూడా తెలుసు. అలాంటిది తనతో వాళ్లకు పని పడడం ఏమిటో. కొరివితో తల గోక్కుంటున్నట్లు ఉంది వ్యవహారం. కబురు వచ్చిన తర్వాత వెళ్లకపోతే ఏమవుతుందో! మంగలి కత్తులు పెట్టుకునే అడపం చేతిలోకి అందుకున్నాడు. తలకు బిగుతుగా కట్టిన తలపాగా ఒకసారి విప్పి గట్టిగా గాల్లోకి వదిలించి భుజాన వేసుకున్నాడు. తెల్ల దొరల వ్యవహారం- గాడిదకి ముందున్న ముప్పే. వెనకున్న తప్పే. తను పడుతున్న తిప్పలు చూసి గుడిసెల్లోని వాళ్ళు నవ్వుకుంటున్నారు. పిలవడానికి వచ్చిన నల్లటి బంట్రోతు వ్యక్తి తో పాటూ ముందుకు కదిలాడు క్షురమర్ది. గుట్టకు అవతల పారుతున్న నది ఒడ్డున ఉదయాన్నే పడుతున్న ఎండకు చొక్కా విప్పుకొని దొరసానెమ్మెతో కులాసాగా కబుర్లు చెబుతున్నాడు తెల్ల దొర. ఆకాశం నుంచి దిగివచ్చిన దేవదూతల్లా తెల్లటి దేహాలతో మెరిసిపోతున్నారు. వీళ్లను దూరం నుంచి చూసి ముఖం చిట్లించుకున్నారు వాళ్ళు. వస్తున్నది ఎవరు? అన్నట్లు పక్కన ఉన్న వాళ్ళని అడిగారు. వాళ్ళు ఏదో జవాబు ఇచ్చారు. తలాడించాడ...
